10 High Paying Dirty Jobs

Most of us would rather live in a blissful ignorance of what goes on with these nasty but necessary jobs. On the other hand, looking into the paychecks that a person receives, might have one reconsidering a career change. A dirty job may mean working with stuff that grosses people out, but the pay can change your mind.

Some say that people prefer a "hands on" or a manual labor kind of job over a cushy or office job. If you are one who dreads the office work and the cubicles, then one of the following jobs may just be your new "calling."

A garbage collector can earn a yearly salary of $43,000 to $60,000. Now that is a decent paying job. These men or women are there to clean the streets and rid us of our trash. Most of us will run to wash our hands as soon as we take the trash out or handle any kind of trash disposal. Not these workers, they work year round and even when it rains, snows, or the sun out, they are there, hauling away the debris.

How about becoming a gastroenterologist? These doctors specialize in the area that most of us wish would remain a mystery, the digestive system. Nobody likes to discuss their problems with gas, stool or pains in the rear. If you wish to become one of these specialized doctors, do you believe that you can earn $200,000.00 up to $450,000.00 a year!!! Now that is not a crappy job.

Did you know that a portable toilet cleaner may have one of the dirtiest jobs known? Although, they can make up to $50,000.00, these workers clean up what we leave behind, in the modern day outhouse.

Sniff Sniff….

Sniff Sniff. Can you believe that people are paid to allow someone to sniff their armpits??? Now this can make you thankful for the job you do have.

You don't have to believe that there is job like this out there, because here is a picture to prove it…

You might say, full of disgust, 'That Stinks!" and you might actually be right about that. But apparently somebody has to do the job and if this person knew my mom, he or she would enjoy doing it because my mom who tried to teach us that if you have to do something then it's much better to just like it.

She is certainly right about that because we all know that we actually create the world in the way we decide to see it, right?

Many deodorant companies test their products on humans or animals to see if there any reactions to the product, if it is stain resistant and provides the dryness that many of us need. However, according to Shortnews.com, a man in Singapore received a 14 year jail sentence and 18 cane strokes after being found guilty of moelstation charges due to his armpit-sniffing fetish.

There are several reports that men and women developed a "fetish" to smell peoples armpits. Youtube even provides videos for the the deodorant company's and some of the "fetish" styles.

Now I can see the purpose of the deodorant companies having the use of humans and animals , but a "fetish" that is a bit tasteless or should I say that just "stinks."

Did you know.....

Did you know…..

That a person in Rodchester, New York is a washroom operator and receives an annual salary of approximately $27,000.00. Now that is interesting.

A person who is a washroom attendant earns an annual income of approximately $14,000.00 to 26,000.00. The job description of a washroom attendant is one who will serve patrons of lavatories in store, public building, hotel, or similar establishment by providing soap and towels, brushing patrons' clothing, shining shoes, sewing on loose buttons, and performing related services. Replenish rest room supplies and even may scrub lavatory, floors, walls, mirrors, and fixtures, using brushes, detergent, and water. A washroom attendant can and may even administer first aid to ill or injured patrons. (www.websters-online-dictionary.org )

These jobs may seem non-interesting to some of you, but these are still jobs. Some may even think these are useless jobs and a waste of a company's money. But for these people who are employed under these job descriptions, it is a source of income. The annual income will vary greatly due to company, location, industry, experience and benefits. The actual job category description of a "washroom attendant" varies as to a laundry mat attendant, a worker for a laundry cleaner, uniform cleaner company such as Cintas Uniform located here in Dayton, Ohio.

Various companies all over the United States provide a service as to some form of a washroom attendant or washroom operator depending on the need and job category.

This blog may not be "dirty" jobs, but I felt that it may be a bit insightful to provide the list of jobs that made the "worst" paying jobs in America. Did you know that the fast food industry employs the highest number of citizens? Although they may be one of the lowest paying jobs, they definitely have the highest number of citizens employed. The one thing that I found that they all have in common, is that they all deal with customer service in one manner or another. I was surprised to see what the annual income is today as compared to when I worked my first fast food job. These amounts have really not changed. The average annual income earnings seem to be no more than $13,600.00 for each and every job that made this list. It goes to show that these are definitely below the poverty level here in America. When I had my first job, to me this kind of yearly income seemed great, but in today's society, this is surprising. I would have surely believed that these figures would have increased over the years to help offset the increase in expenses. This is where I feel that if economy expenses increase, so should the pay for jobs. How can one live and support their family if they are making these kinds of wages, which place them below the poverty level? One cannot depend on the department of family services to help them; they will most likely state that you make too much money. You might ask how that is possible when you can barely keep food on the table and maintain your household expenses. Most households live paycheck to paycheck and usually "rob Peter to pay Paul" in order to survive. According to the web site of www.nccp.org, as of 2009, the Federal poverty level for a household of four is $22,050.00. Children living in families with incomes below the federal poverty level are considered to be poor. It has been proven that families need an income twice the amount to meet their basic needs.

Thanks to the web link of www.worst-jobs.com, which provided me with the chart as to the worst paying jobs.
