Most of us would rather live in a blissful ignorance of what goes on with these nasty but necessary jobs. On the other hand, looking into the paychecks that a person receives, might have one reconsidering a career change. A dirty job may mean working with stuff that grosses people out, but the pay can change your mind.
Some say that people prefer a "hands on" or a manual labor kind of job over a cushy or office job. If you are one who dreads the office work and the cubicles, then one of the following jobs may just be your new "calling."
A garbage collector can earn a yearly salary of $43,000 to $60,000. Now that is a decent paying job. These men or women are there to clean the streets and rid us of our trash. Most of us will run to wash our hands as soon as we take the trash out or handle any kind of trash disposal. Not these workers, they work year round and even when it rains, snows, or the sun out, they are there, hauling away the debris.
How about becoming a gastroenterologist? These doctors specialize in the area that most of us wish would remain a mystery, the digestive system. Nobody likes to discuss their problems with gas, stool or pains in the rear. If you wish to become one of these specialized doctors, do you believe that you can earn $200,000.00 up to $450,000.00 a year!!! Now that is not a crappy job.
Did you know that a portable toilet cleaner may have one of the dirtiest jobs known? Although, they can make up to $50,000.00, these workers clean up what we leave behind, in the modern day outhouse.
